FREE TEXTBOOKS AND SUPPLEMENTARY SOURCES HIT THE SCHOOL DESKS

Approximately 192 million textbooks and supplementary sources prepared by the Ministry of National Education to be distributed to students for free in the 2023-2024 school year were printed and began to be delivered to schools.

Approximately 192 million free textbooks and supplementary sources, consisting of 1 thousand 166 books, 3 for preschool, 126 for primary school, 292 for secondary education, 97 for special education and 648 for vocational education started to be distributed to schools. 
 
The Ministry of National Education distributed 3 billion 946 million textbooks and supplementary sources from 2003 to 2022 as part of the free textbook application. 
 
Private education institutions will be able to update their book requests from the Ministry of National Education Data Processing Systems (MEBBIS) book selection module between September 1 and September 5.
