Deputy Minister of National Education Celile Eren Ökten participated in the "Türkiye Weaving Atlas Exhibition" held at the Turkish House in New York by the Maturation Institutes under the auspices of the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's wife, the First Lady Emine Erdoğan, as part of the Activities for the 100th Anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye in the United States. 

 

Hand weavings were introduced to the world as a "Turkish brand" with the Türkiye Weaving Atlas project, in which traditional weavings were brought together with the textile and tourism sector. 

 

Ökten also met with students studying in America with the Graduate Education Scholarship (YLSY) and educational counselors and attaches working at Turkish House.

 

Visiting the Turkish Maarif Foundation US Schools within the scope of his program, Deputy Minister Ökten stated that they met with children, who are the guarantee of their future, and made consultations about educational activities with teachers and administrators.

 

Director General of European Union and Foreign Relations Tuba Korkmaz accompanied Deputy Minister Ökten.
